Locksmiths should be more appreciated

It was a busy morning. I could hear cars driving down my street. Most people were probably in a hurry to get to work or school on time. I finished my coffee and went upstairs to get ready. I put on my makeup and got dressed.
The day before, I had packed everything I needed for work in my bag so I wouldn't be in such a hurry the next morning. I turned off all the lights and the TV. I put on my coat, took the house key out of my coat pocket, and walked to the front door with my bag in hand. As soon as I put the key in the lock and turned the door, I couldn't open it. The key kept turning and turning. I tried turning it to the right and then to the left. The door still would not unlock. I tried for about 10 minutes to get the door open, then gave up.

My husband had the key to the back door. He had accidentally taken it with him when he went to Manchester on business a few days earlier. So there was no way to get out the back door.
So I decided to call my neighbors and ask them to open the door from the outside. My house is an old terraced house in London. The first floor windows don't open wide enough for someone to leave the house. When I called my neighbors and explained what had happened, they immediately came to my rescue. I gave them the key through the window and they tried to open the door without success. It kept turning in the lock without being able to open the front door.
My neighbors advised me to call a locksmith (Schlüsseldienst) in London, which seemed like a good and reasonable idea. I was busy with an important task that needed to be done for my work that day. So I quickly searched Google for the best rated locksmiths near my location. When I finally found what seemed to be a good locksmith, I called them to see if they could help me.
The first company I called was already ready to send a locksmith to my home. I didn't expect the locksmith to respond so quickly and be on site within 20 minutes. I was very happy about that. I was still in the house and the neighbors were waiting for the problem to be solved. The locksmith looked at my lock and immediately saw where the problem was. He told me that part of the lock was broken. He also advised me to have the lock replaced, which I did. After determining what the problem was and how to fix it, the locksmith changed the lock on my front door. In addition, the friendly locksmith gave me new keys. I was very pleased with the result. Finally, I could go to work as a carefree person.
My neighbors left as soon as the locksmith unlocked the door. The technician quickly explained how to use the new lock and then went on to solve another lock problem in London.
I threw the old lock away and got to work immediately. All I can say is that there should always be locksmiths in this world. You never know when you will need the help of this specialist
Thank you very much for reading.
